Lucky Buddha Beer launches on draught

The light, refreshing and authentically Asian, Lucky Buddha beer is launching in draught format, in a bid to elevate the drinking experiences within the UK’s fast growing repertoire of Asian and Southeast Asian restaurants.

Recognised for its iconic green bottle and easy-drinking flavour profile, Lucky Buddha beer has become somewhat of a cult brand for Asian food lovers and venues alike. Paying homage to good food, good drinks, and good fortune, the brand is now embarking on a quest to bring its popular beer to those that prefer a fresh pint when dining out of home.

A fusion of the finest-quality malt, hops, rice flakes and pristine water from the Thousand Island Lake in China, Lucky Buddha beer delivers an Asian-style lager packed with flavour. A staple on the drinks menus of reputable Asian restaurants up and down the country, up until now, Lucky Buddha beer has only ever been available in its distinctive 330ml bottle format. But, as the volume of Asian foodservice venues continues to grow in the UK, so does the demand for more choice when it comes to what’s on the drinks menu.

Recognising the opportunity for an authentic, superior quality Asian beer on tap, Lucky Buddha beer has taken its iconic bottle, and is now translating it into an equally iconic font, or ‘Fortune Fountain’ for the hospitality sector.

Lee Williams, Beer & Cider Category Manager at LWC – Lucky Buddha Beer’s exclusive UK distributor – commented: “The last few years have seen an explosion of Asian tastes and flavours hitting British high streets. From Bao buns to Ramen, Asian delicacies are popping up on every corner. But it isn’t just the culinary delights of the far-flung continent that are having their moment. Southeast Asian beer brands have also been enjoying a surge in popularity recently. However, the choice available to consumers is still fairly limited.

“We know that not every beer drinker wants a bottled beer when dining out. Yet, the draught options available for beers that have been curated specifically to pair with Asian cuisine are still few and far between.

“Having distributed Lucky Budda Beer in the UK for over 10 years, we have played witness to the emerging Asian food trends and seen the brand’s popularity soar alongside them. Now feels like the perfect time to open the market up a bit and offer restaurants and consumers a bit more choice when it comes to what their drinking, when dining out.”

Lucky Buddha Beer on draught (4.8% ABV) is available for hospitality venues to install from the 22 July, in 30L kegs.
